 Things I’ve contributed for in the project:

Initial Planning:

• Contributed an idea for the research project:
• The topic I proposed was to investigate the vector lift VTOL for fixed wing aircraft 

• Refine the problem statement for the topic we’ve chosen 
• Introducing Nanobubble technology to PUB as an additional or supplementary process in the existing water treatment process in NEWater plants.

• Did a research together with Jarrett on the existing water treatment processes implemented by Singapore.
• Continued to refine the problem statement and purpose statement by redirecting the team's focus onto a manufacturing company - AquaPro, which was suggested by Justin
• Suggested that the team used NEWater/ PUB as the motivation behind our proposal to AquaPro.

• Wrote the first draft of executive summary.
• Background:
• Wrote most of background, 
• Singapore's water demand and how does that affect the need for advancement of water treatment 
• NEWater and its water treatment processes
• Exploration of other water treatment processes for local water treatment
• Product specifications and issues with current product

Meeting on 29/10/24:

1. I suggested that we further refine our ideal for the problem statement to narrow down our ideas to either:
• increasing capacity by scaling up the current product
• or to implement a self-filtering system
2. Suggested that we use finalize on our idea after conducting the interview (see primary research session).

Research Contribution:

• Researched on auto-skimmer solution: Using ChatGPT, I prompted "what are ways to skim off impurities from the surface of the water"
• Researched on Singapore's water demands
• What is its condition? 
  
• Data on water demands 
• Researched on NEWater (third National Tap)
• Water treatment processes

• Primary research:
• Went down to client company of AquaPro Solution: Mazak. 
• Directed the interview questions with James, AquaPro's owner
• Main question ask was regarding the effectiveness of automatic skimmer (if there was a skimmer introduced and how effective it was )
• Introduced our idea and asked for his evaluation for our ideas

I used the feedback we've gotten from James to further refined the idea by suggesting to the team the balloon displacement method.
